“I decided to do the things I always wanted to do but never had the time. I still have plenty of Getty-Up left in the tank. I decided to write a children’s book based on real-life experiences. I still cannot believe it really happened to my wife and me. We named the book, “Mr. Lucky The Parakeet.”
Mr. Lucky™ The Parakeet is a true and loving story of how the fate of a lost parakeet had a happy ending. It was truly a miracle that we saved his life.
It was a miraculous turn of events that, if not executed correctly, could have had a far different outcome. We were so grateful to be part of Mr. Lucky’s adventure. My wife and I can still not believe this happened to us. We are sure that God had his hand in helping us save his life.
In my wildest imagination I could not have dreamed up such a turn of events that became true. We are so happy we could share our heart-warming story. I hope you enjoyed reading our book as much as we did writing it.
It was 1992, a year we would never forget as kids. Our story starts with my brother Greg and I, going to a local Carnival in West Seattle. We were so excited when the carnival came to town. Greg and I saved all our money, so we could go on rides and eat all the fun things like cotton candy, snow cones, and ice cream bars. What a fun time we had every year.
Our parents dropped us off at the carnival entrance and said they would pick us up at 9:00 pm. A turn of events would change our lives forever. Squeaky the Duck is a heartwarming story about a duck that was bullied as a duckling and grew up to be our hero and a hero of the farm. His life story would be told, from near and far, as an example of kindness and love. Everyone, young and old, can learn from reading this book.
Squeaky’s Adventures is a heart-warming story about a dad’s love for his son. During the family’s migration trip, Squeaky and Squeaky Junior were hit by lightning and forced to land in a small lake.
Squeaky told the momma duck to take their other ducklings and finish their trip and they would catch up after Junior was able to fly again. Weeks turned into months but lightning wasn’t the only danger they would encounter on this journey.
Will Squeaky and Junior make it back to their family at Lake Washington?
